Job Summary:

As a Quality Management System Coordinator (QMSC), you are responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining OTE’s Quality Management System. You will establish strategy, policies, procedures, processes, standards, and systems for the company and its supply chain partners. You will work closely with internal operations personnel, CMM technicians, and quality assurance personnel, as well as external suppliers and customers to measure and manage quality metrics, results, and improvements. You will serve as the quality gatekeeper ensuring adherence to the company’s quality management system at every step of the process. You will maintain quality certifications and make course corrections as required.

What You Will Do:

  • Oversee effective implementation of the Quality Management System throughout the company
  • Plan Standard Operating practices required under the overriding Quality procedures
  • Lead and conduct internal and external audits
  • Organize and manage the corrective action reporting system
  • Conduct scrap disposition transactions in ERP system
  • Organize data for KPI metrics (including PPM, COPQ, etc)
  • Liaise with production and suppliers on NCM
  • Undertake special projects as required
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities
  • Contribute to shop floor work scheduling and schedule attainment

What You Need:

The Basics:

  • 3-+ years of experience in Quality management for a manufacturing and/or machining enterprise
  • Experience with or working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, AS9100D)
  • Knowledge of machining, sheet metal fabrication, casting, forging, and welding processes
  • Good communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be available to work daily overtime and some weekends
  • Must be able to work in the United States (no H-1 sponsorship or student visas considered)

The Preferred:

  • 5+ years experience in Manufacturing/Quality
  • Experience with military and commercial industry-standard Quality specifications
  • 1+ years of quality experience in an assembly environment involving sub parts machining
  • 1+ years of machining experience
  • Working knowledge of ERP Systems (e.g. INFOR VISUAL system knowledge preferred)
